NOCECO Holds 34th Annual General Membership Assembly

The Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative Inc. (NOCECO) held its 34th Annual General Membership Assembly at the NOCECO Gymnasium Saturday, May 24, 2014.

Congressman Jeffrey P. Ferrer, in his inspirational message, lauded the performance of NOCECO and congratulated the Board of directors, management and staff for a job well done. He tackled the topic "Solar Energy or SACASOL in La Carlota City" and its benefits to the member-consumers of the Cooperative; and more insights in developing technology on energy.

CENECO Bill: Another Residential Rate Increase For May

General Manager Sulpicio Lagarde, Jr. has sent notices to the consumers that for May 2014 billing, there will be an increase of P10.1442 per kilowatt hour, or a P0.2218 per kilowatt hour increase over the last month’s increase of P9.9224 per kilowatt hour only.

He said, the generation charges, which is the biggest contributory factor to the rate hike is due to higher capacity and monthly contracted energy with the Power Sector Asset and Liabilities Management (PSALM).
