Some roads will be closed for the celebration of the 12th Bacolaodiat Festival, which will highlight the Year of the Rooster, on January 27-29, 2017.
On January 27 ad 28, the Lacson Tourism Strip, from Cottage Road to 13th Lacson St., will have a partial closure at 2 p.m. and a total closure at 4 p.m.
Vehicles passing through the area will be rerouted.
Business tycoon Henry Sy, owner SM malls that started in the Philippines and now with branches in Asian countries, will be the third honorary mayor of Bacolod City.
Jennifer Gochangco-Ong, chair of the 12th Bacolaodiat Festival on January 27-28, announced at a press conference yesterday, that Sy has accepted the invitation of Bacolod to become honorary mayor of which, the ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 2 pm at the Bacolod City Government Center.
Aside from becoming an honorary mayor, he will also be honored as an adopted son of the city.
Zumba enthusiasts in Negros Island Region (NIR) will be treated to a night of retro and Korean music as ZiNegros, an organization of licensed Zumba instructors in Negros bring them another fun and healthy party as on the first night of the Bacolaodiat Festival on January 27.
Zumba Education Specialist Jennifer Kim will be flying in from Korea to lead the one-hour sweat out party along 6th-Lacson Streets in Bacolod at 5 p.m..
ZES Jennifer will be joined in by one of Cebu’s leading Zumba instructor Alex Estrada and licensed Zumba instructors of ZiNegros.
City Mall Bacolod, in partnership with Bacolaodiat, Inc., is now accepting applicants for the City Mall Photo Contest.
The contest is open to all professional and amateur photographers.
Entries for the contest must be taken and highlight the celebration of the Bacolaodiat Festival 2017 (January 27 to 29). Every photographer is entitled to a maximum of three (3) entries each.
One of the three entries must have a City Mall moment—the photo must be taken inside the City Mall which depicts “everyday” moment at City Mall, your everyday mall.
