BACIWA Bulk Water Purchase Not Privatization – Gamboa

Councilor Wilson Gamboa, Jr., in his capacity as Chairman of the Bacolod Water Consumers Watch Inc. (BWCWI), sternly sent message to the general public yesterday that the move of the Bacolod City Water District (BACIWA) will definitely not lead to privatization of the water district or “the privatization of water” in general

He stressed that there is nothing “privatization” in the transaction of the bulk water purchase as BACIWA is not concerned with the source or “water extraction technology” that will deliver water to injection points.
