TMC Season 4: Santos Sets Pace in TMC September Qualifiers

Herman Santos took the leadership from Julius Pabiona to set the pace with 1,260 pin falls in the ongoing Tenpin Masters Challenge (TMC) Season Four monthly qualifiers at Lopue’s East Bowling Center, Villamonte.

Santos trails Pabiona by 7 pins who got 1,253 pfs including a plus 23 handicap points per game.

The rank No.1 bowler registered his highest set of games of 644 in the 5th play date on September 19 and his next best set was 616 in the opening play date on Sept 5. He has a plus 10 handicap points.

Rounding up the current top 15 qualifiers: Joemil Villarosa - 1,225; Raymund Livioco - 1,224; Tol De Asis - 1,210; Jasper Quimanhan - 1,201; Teody Chavoso - 1,197; Virgilio Arcolas - 1,185; Billy Lopue - 1,184; Dr Larnie Vencer - 1,177; Boyet Bullos - 1,172; Romie Li - 1,170; OJ Lopue - 1,164; Dr Tony Vasquez - 1,144; and Pat Mendoza - 1,138. Top rank bowler in the qualifiers will be given a special prize.

According to lead organizer Ms Joyce Santos, they decided to increase the number of bowlers in the Masters Event because they were able to reach 32 participants for this month. Last qualifying play date resume on Tuesday, Sept 26.

Top fifteen qualifiers will play in the Masters Event for a 5-game elimination round on Sept 28. Prizes are up to Top five but only the Top four will advance to the Shoot-Out Finale.

The oiling pattern for this month is Pattern #7 which has a buff area of 36 feet, 31 feet of oil and has a total volume of 19.53ml. The previous oiling pattern used had 17.50ml of oil, buff area of 44 feet and 30 feet of oil.

This season’s TMC is organized by the officers of STAI played every Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8PM.

Meanwhile, the Monthly Hilit-Hilit King of the Lanes Tournament will be played alongside the Masters Event on the said date.

Players must bowl 3 games to determine the Top ten bowlers to advance in the knockout round then the best 3 bowlers will play in the Stepladder finals to earn the right to challenge the Top finisher of the eliminations.
