Police Nabbed Wanted Person for 5 Sexual Assaults

An 18-year-old resident of Sagay City who was denied bail by the court for the crime of five counts of sexual assault was arrested in Sitio Tu-ong in Barangay Vito in the city Wednesday morning.

Police Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto, Sagay PNP chief, identified the suspect as Ariel Alegre Potestad, 18 of Sitio Tu-ong in Barangay Vito, Sagay.

Senior Inspector Ellendie Rebusquillo, Deputy Police chief arrested the suspect through after serving his warrant of arrest issued by Judge Reginald M. Fuentebella of the Regional Trial Court, Branch-73 in Sagay dated June 29, 2017.

He is detained at Sagay PNP and waiting for the commitment order by the court to be transfered to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) at Barangay Rizal, also in the city.*
