PAMET Joins International Coastal Clean-up Day

PAMET Negros Occidental Chapter Officers together with members of Tuburan Fisherfolks and Mangrove Development Association in EB Magalona.*

The Philippine Association of Medical Technologists Inc. (PAMET) Negros Occidental Chapter officers and members head by its Chapter President Maruja Japzon, joined the coastal clean-up drive as part of its advocacy for the environment recently. The event was organized by the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources and the Provincial Environment Management Office. About 8 sacks of wastes and debris were collected along the coastal area of Barangay Tuburan in EB Magalona. PAMET Negros Occidental Chapter also gave a financial assistance to Tuburan Fisherfolks and Mangrove Development Association (TFAMDA) in support of its continuing projects to develop the area. PEMO Information Officer Olive Seruelo and Dr. Liza Paguntalan of the Philippine Biological Conservation Foundation gave a short briefing regarding the importance of a healthy and well preserved environment. This event is part of PAMET’s culminating activity for its National Medical Technology Week celebration.*
