Dads Push for CDRRMO Satellite Office at NGC

Dondon Parandas, Officer in Charge of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) welcomes the move of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) to establish a satellite office at the Bacolod City Government Center so that it could immediately respond to any emergency within the surrounding area.

This move of the SP was based on the resolution of Councilor Cindy Rojas pushing for the establishment of satellite office of CDRRMO at the BCGC. Considering that the office of CDRRMO is at the public plaza, the distance from the place to the BCGC and surrounding community will entail time before reaching the intended area.

Parandas said, one big problem that delays the response of CDRRMO in case of emergency, is the traffic due to the bulk of vehicles plying the different routes. But the plan of the Sangguniang Panlungsod through the Rojas Resolution is a great move.

Parandas also said: “We will immediately coordinate with the NGC or the City Health Office where the satellite office of CDRRMO will be established.”

Actually, Parandas said, one unit of ambulance of CDRRMO that comes from the city government will be stationed at the NGC for immediate response to emergency. Once the satellite office is established, the ambulance will be manned by complete responding personnel.*
