Brgy. 39 to Get More than P1M in Donations

The Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) received a grand total of P1, 169, 300.00 worth of donations to be given to the affected residents of Barangay 39.

DSSD Officer in Charge Pacita Tero said that the cash and in-kind donation does not include received by Barangay Captain Dante Danoy.

The estimated monetized value of the entire in-kind donation sent at the Barangay 39 evacuation center that included food, clothing and other personal necessities is at P642, 300.00.

The cash assistance given to the families and individuals went down from P532,000. 00 to P526,000.00 because of a reported double entry.

"To all the donors and residents of Bacolod City, in behalf of the DSSD, I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for helping the fire victims of Brgy. 39," Tero said.

The figures were based on the Master list of Donations of the DSSD from the period September 2–8, 2014.

Some residents have already returned to their homes while others are still staying at the Barangay Hall and Gymnasium.
