CDRRMO Turns Over Ambulance to Bacolod City Gov’t
Two units ambulance were turned over to the government of Bacolod City yesterday by the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO).
The ambulance has total cost of P3.3 million. Mayor Evelio Leonardia received the ambulance with Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, Executive Assistant Joemari Vargas, and officials of CDRRMO.
One unit will be stationed at the CDRRMO near the public plaza, while the other one at the Bacolod City Government Center. This is to hasten the response of CDRRMO considering the traffic that delays response in case of emergency.
Therefore, if the needed response is in the eastern part of Bacolod, the unit at the NGC will be the one to handle. While the ambulance at the CDRRMO will also cater emergencies within the surrounding areas. Both units will serve 24/7. Each unit has complete facilities and tools needed for emergency response services, such as oxygen tank, blood pressure apparatus, microscope, and others.
There is plan to add two more units of ambulance to be deployed in the northern and southern part of Bacolod.
Mayor Leonadia emphasized that the services of the said ambulance is free. Hence the people assigned are prohibited to charge every service they render and not receive donations from clients.*
