Eco-Park Employee Found Dead

An employee of Eco-Park of Kanlaon National Park was found dead with gunshot wound in the head at the Eco-Park in Sitio Calapnagan, Barangay Biak-Na-Bato, La Castellana town, Saturday.

Police Chief Inspector Jerry Nacion, La Castellana PNP chief identified the victim as Angelo Bibar, 49, resident of Silay City. He sustained gunshot wound in the right part of his head. Nacion said that the victim was found with one Llama .9mm beside him and two magazines of the same caliber loaded with live ammunitions.

The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) of the Regional Office-18 led by Superintendent Alex Batiles also conducted their investigation in the area to determine if he committed suicide or was accidentally shot dead by his own firearm.

Earlier, he told his two companions that he is going to have practice firing in one of the Eco-Park’s centers. The two reportedly left leaving the victim in the area. On Saturday afternoon, a woman utility identified as Roxanne Panes slumped in the area with gunshot wound.

Nacion said the victim’s two companions were subject to paraffin test to determine if they have powder burns. The result was not yet determined.

Meanwhile, a 64-year-old was also found dead with stab wound on his chest at his sister’s house in Purok 2, Barangay Maytubig, Isabela town, Negros Occidental at noon Saturday.

Police Chief Inspector Anthony Grande, Isabela PNP chief identified the victim as Fernando Alisbo who sustained a stab wound in the chest.

He was found dead at the house of his sister identified as Felisa Alisbo.

Earlier on September 2 in the evening, there was a commotion heard at the house and in the next day, the victim was found dead.

The victim was staying at his sister’s house as caretaker.
