Mobile drug peddling in Isabela probed

Authorities in Isabela town are investigating reports that illegal drug peddlers have switched their strategy in delivering and distributing illegal drugs, reportedly by using private vehicles in “dropping” drugs to their clients.

Isabela Mayor Joselito Malabor told the media, reports reached his office revealing that people behind the illegal drug trade distribute their goods using private vehicles like vans.

Malabor said, illegal drug peddlers no longer use a house as “bagsakan” but have reportedly resorted to “mobile distribution.”

Isabela Hopes for New PNP Chief, More Cops

Isabela Mayor Joselito Y. Malabor expressed optimism that his requests, for a new municipal police chief and for five additional policemen, will be granted in a few days.

Malabor, in a phone interview yesterday told NDB he already got positive response from P/S Supt. Rodolfo D. Castil, OIC-Provincial Police Director for Negros Occidental, on his request for or recommendation, to assign as Isabela PNP Chief of Police, Chief Inspector Jake Panagsagan Barila.

1st Ati, Bukidnon, Tumandok fest slated in Isabela

Isabela Mayor Joselito Malabor said, preparations are up for the first ever Ati, Bukidnon, Tumandok Festival slated in April 15-21 in the town.

Malabor said this will be the official festival for the municipality of Isabela.

He said he has conceptualized the idea, adding that it has a semblance in the history of the town and considering the fact that presently there are indigenous people community still existing in the town.

Malabor to Institutionalize Tigkakalag Fest

Isabela Mayor Joselito Malabor said yesterday, his adminstration will move for the institutionalization of the Tigkalalag Festival after what he claimed as the successful relaunching of the festival last October 31-November 2, 2017.
