Power Rates Up By P1.02/kWh
Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENECO) informs its consumers that the residential rate for October 2017 billing is P11.0280/kwh; an increase of P1.0150/kWh from last month’s P10.0130/kwh.
The upward adjustment in CENECO’s effective rate can be attributed to the increase in the Generation Charge of P0.4728, Transmission Charge of P0.1412, and System Loss Charge of P0.0938.
Another contributory factor to the rate increase is the P0.2220/kWh recovery for the Generation Rate Adjustment Mechanism (GRAM) and Incremental Currency Exchange Rate Adjustment (ICERA) by Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management as ordered by the Energy Regulatory Commission.
CENECO continues to remind its electricity consumers to conserve energy to avoid paying high electricity bills.*
