All Set for ‘Cinco de Nobyiembre’ Marathon Relay
All is set for the “Cinco de Nobyiembre“ marathon relay on November 5, 2017 from Manapla town to the Provincial Capitol Lagoon in Bacolod City.
According to the Provincial Sports Office, there are twelve runners in each team including male and female alternates.
The original runners are four females and six males. The runners will cover the 41.99 kilometers from Manapla to Provincial Capitol Lagoon with ten relay points.
The marathon will start at 4:30 a.m. from Barangay 1-A Rotunda to Barangay Tortosa with a male runner which covers 4.28 kilometers; from Barangay Tortosa to Victorias City Hall with a male runner which covers 4.28 kilometers; from Victorias City Hall to Crossing Barangay Alicante in EB Magalona with male runner which covers 6.13 kilometers; from Crossing Barangay Alicante to EB Magalona National High School with female runner which covers 4.58 kilometers; from EB Magalona National High School to Crossing Hawaiian in Silay City with male runner which cover 4.79 kilometers; from Crossing Hawaiian, Silay City to Silay City Plaza with female runner that covers the distance of 3.88 kilometers; from Silay City plaza to Barangay Bubog, Talisay City with male runner that covers the distance to 3.41 kilometers; from Barangay Bubog, Talisay City to Carlos Hilado Memorial State College/Dating Daan in Talisay City with female runner that covers the distance of 2.95 kilometers; from Carlos Hilado Memorial State College to boundary of Talisay and Bacolod with male runner that covers the distance of 2.95 kilometers and from boundary of Talisay-Bacolod to DBP, provincial Capitol Road with female runner to run the distance of 3.46 kilometers.
The runners are divided to team categories. The under 19; Open and Executives. The Under 19 are runners for Local Government Units; the Open category are teams from outside of Negros Occidental and Executive with teams from within Negros Occidental only.
Any Local Government Units may enlist as many teams as they can.
