Negros PNP chief slams NPA

Police Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil, Jr., Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) director, strongly condemns the ambushes, attacks and atrocities of the New People’s Army (NPA) in Western Visayas and all over the country.

Castil said, “we are all aware of the successive attacks of the CPP-NPA on various government agencies, following the declaration of President Rodrigo Duterte to stop the peace process with the communists. They want to regain and establish their existence but the whole NOCPPO police stations and units will not be demoralized and lower their guard, but rather declare a full alert status within the area of responsibility to prepare and preempt possible enemy attacks.”

“We are expecting something big on or before December 26 for it is the CPP-NPA’s anniversary, but the PNP is preparing for it. We cannot give further details but we will always be ready,” said Castil.

“We appeal to the public for cooperation with regards to this matter. Let us act together to end the long suffering from senseless war and unnecessary loss of lives. The cooperation and participation of the community with the PNP will help maintain peace and order in the province,” he said.*(Cyrus M. Garde)
