Sports: Playing Venues for DepEd’s 2012 Provincial Meet Known
After setting the date and billeting centers for the 2012 Provincial Meet, the Provincial Department of Education headed by Provincial School Superintendent Rizalino S. Tortosa, CESO V, playing venues was also set-up for seventeen (17) sports disciplines on December 17 to 22, 2012 with Panaad Park and Sports Stadium as the main venue.
The 17 events are archery, arnis, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, chess, football, gymnastics, sepak takraw, sipa, softball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball and cultural competition. This year’s event will also include the girl’s sepak takraw.
Provincial Meet, WVPRISAA Raise Curtains Today
Two big sports events will open today in separate venues, one here in Bacolod and the other in Iloilo City.
Simultaneously to open are Provincial Meet at Panaad Park and Sports Stadium, while Western Visayas PRISAA at University of San Agustin in Iloilo City.
The Provincial Meet is the grassroots sports development program under the Department of Education, while WVPRISAA is under the Commission on High Education.
The week-long sports competition for Provincial meet underlines 18 sports disciplines, while WVPRISAA with 14 sports disciplines.
