‘Rape Suspect’ Man Falls for Sexual Abuse
A resident of La Castellana town was arrested by local police authorities for three counts of sexual abuse, Wednesday morning at Gener St., Brgy. Robles.
PInsp. Allan J.Reloj, La Castellana Police chief effected the arrest of Menardo Sarco, 43, of Brgy. Lalagsan through a warrant for three counts of sexual abuse under criminal case numbers 3827, 3828 and 3829 issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) branch 63-La Carlota City Judge Francisco N. Rodriguez.
Brgy. Tanod Hacked
A barangay tanod in La Castellana was reportedly hacked by resident in the area where he served, Tuesday evening.
Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) records revealed that Hilario Zamora, 47, of Sitio Old Fabrica, Brgy. Cabagna-an in La Castellana town was rushed to a nearby health center for sustaining a hack wound on his right shoulder.
Zamora was allegedly attacked by Milo Aldea, 36, also of the same place for still unknown reason. The suspect remains at-large.
Motorcycle Owner Foils ‘Carnappers’ Operation
A Bacoleño was able to foil a suspected carnapper from stealing his motorcycle parked in the compound of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) at about 11:30PM, Monday.
PSInsp. Lester Leada, Police Station 2 (PS2) commander in his report revealed that Alberto Barias Jr. was walking towards the parking area of the hospital when he saw the suspect about to steal his Honda 110 XRM.
The suspect was identified as Reinhart Tamlimadao, 19, of Sitio Balogo, Brgy. Concepcion in Talisay City.
PS2 Cops Bust ‘Snatcher’
A suspected snatcher was arrested by elements of Police Station 2, Sunday evening along BS Aquino Drive after he allegedly grabbed a camera from a Korean national.
PInsp. Richie Gohee, PS2 deputy commander told NDB that Clifford John Marquez, 20, of Hervias2, Brgy. Villamonte was mauled by bystanders after he grabbed the digital camera of Karen Lee while taking pictures on the street.

Querol Urges Stronger Community Partnership in 2012

A stronger partnership with the community is being urged by the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) as it sees better peace and order situation in Western Visayas this year once it is intensified.
PCSupt. Cipriano E. Querol, Jr., PRO6 director, according to reports is banking on the full implementation of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs) to the 4,051 barangays in the region in collaboration with other members of the community to achieve the goal.
Querol, in his message during the traditional New Year’s Call at Camp Delgado, revealed that 66.82% of 4,051 barangays in the region have organized BPATs.
There are 28,158 BPAT members in 2,707 barangays regionwide, and the regional director is convinced to have forged a formidable link with the peace-loving Ilonggos and other stakeholders who volunteered to make their respective communities a safe place to live, work, and invest.
11-Month Old Baby Burns in Ilog Fire
An 11-month old baby was killed in a fire that razed their home, recently at
Brgy. Dancalan, Ilog despite efforts of his parents.
Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) reports revealed that the
baby, Ernesto Chavez Jr died despite rescue efforts made by his mom, Rowela,
when their single-storey house located at Purok Paglaum in Brgy. Dancalan which
was made of light materials was totally destroyed by fire that started about
8AM, Thursday last week.

Cops ‘Asset’ Shot Dead
An alleged police asset was killed in a shooting incident that took place about 10PM, Monday at Purok Sigay in Brgy. 2, Bacolod City.
Ocular investigation at the crime scene was led by Police Station 2 chief, PSInsp. Lester Leada who reported that the victim was Ryan Virata, 36, temporary residing at Purok Cereza, Brgy. 3. Virata was gunned down by still unidentified suspects and succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the body.
