A nine-year old boy in Don Salvador Benedicto was killed after playing with his grandmother’s shotgun about 10AM, Wednesday.
Police report said, Joshua Quirante, a Grade One student, of Sitio Kinabong 2, Brgy. Igmayaan, DSB was declared dead by attending physician after he was accidentally hit in the chest when the shotgun he was playing went off.
It was said that the firearm, an improvised shotgun was kept inside the cabinet of his grandmother and played with it when it exploded hitting him on the right portion of his chest.
Local police authorities in Sagay City are in pursuit of three stabbing suspects on board a motorcycle who attacked another Sagaynon, early morning Tuesday at Alfredo Marañon St., Brgy. Poblacion 2.
Reports identified the victim as Lyndon Bahala, 22, of Purok Halandumon, Brgy. Bato who sustained multiple stab wounds in different parts of his body allegedly inflicted by three unidentified suspects.
Initial investigation said Bahala along with his friends were waiting for a jeepney in front of United Motoliance in Poblacion 2 when the suspects on board a motorcycle stopped and two of its riders alighted and attacked the victim.
Several sachets of suspected shabu, paraphernalia and firearms were seized in an entrapment operation about 3PM, Tuesday at Damas Street in Victorias City.
The operation was jointly conducted by Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO), elements of Victorias City Police Station and Regional Intelligence and Investigation Division (RIID) Police Regional Office 6.
The subjects of the operation are brothers Frederick and Nanerick Legada.
Two men were stabbed dead, while another was wounded when a skirmish broke out inside a dance hall at Sitio Calapnusan, Brgy. Lalong, Calatrava town, about 11:30PM, Sunday.
Police identified the casualty as Ronnie Magbulugtong, 23, of Sitio Balea, Brgy. Marcelo who succumbed to a single stab wound in the armpit allegedly inflicted by Pedion Olbenario who fled the scene after the incident. The victim was pronounced dead by attending physician at Alfredo Marañon District Hospital in Brgy. Bato, Sagay City.
Meanwhile, Eduardo Responte who was helping Magbulugtong was shot once by unidentified suspect and was wounded on the left knee. He was rushed to San Carlos City Hospital for treatment.
Two of the three suspects in the robbery of loan officers of Asa Philippines Foundation Inc. were arrested by elements of Hinigaran town following their escape 11:15AM, from Brgy. Anahaw taking with them cash collections.
Investigation said, PInsp. Geruld Huerva, Hinigaran Police officer-in-charge with his men apprehended Danjie Heramis, 27, and Tomas Emolaga Jr., 45, both of Brgy. Inolingan, Moises Padilla after they reportedly robbed two of AsiaPhilippines Foundation Inc.’s loan officers.
Jennerey Borda, 24, of Brgy. Libas, Roxas City and Romie Bebedor, 24, of Brgy. San Lucas, Barotac Viejo, both employees of the loan company who told police probers that they were collecting payments in the area of Brgy. Anahaw when they were waylaid by the suspects.

A motorcycle-rider was reportedly ran over by a truck about 8:30PM, Sunday, along the national highway at Hacienda Ideal, Brgy. 13, Victorias City.
Traffic investigators identified the casualty as Dennis Villalon, 26, of Purok Ajinomoto, Brgy. 9 was on board his Racal motorcycle with his sister, Daisy Villalon, 15, when a 10-wheeler truck on their tail accidentally bumped against them.
The truck was driven by Valentine Tanghal Jr., of Bacolod City.

Speculations of how criminals hoodwinked the Bacolod City Police’ inadequacies are increasing around town.
After less than a month, another big-time heist was effected by alleged criminal band Ozamis Group in Bacolod City, about 9:10AM, Saturday, March 16 of F & C Pawshop and Jewelry Store along Gonzaga St., following previous robbery of Prenda Negrense on February 18 losing P2.5 million in jewelries and P50 thousand cash.
An 80-year old man was killed after his improvised dynamite exploded about 12:05PM, Friday in Murcia town.
Local police authorities reported that Ricarido Vega, 80, of Purok Bougainvillea, Brgy. Pandanon Silos succumbed to fatal injuries on different parts of his body after two of the improvised dynamites he was making exploded causing his death.
Investigation revealed that Vega has finished making two improvised dynamite under their house when it accidentally exploded.
One of the four men reportedly engaged in pot session was apprehended incidental to Binalbagan Police’s operation against a person wanted for robbery at about 11PM, Tuesday at Purok Rock Crusher, Brgy. 4 in Himamaylan City.
Police report said, the operation was conducted jointly by Binalbagan Police led PSInsp. Albert Sy and SPO1 Rex Tejares, of Himamaylan City Police against Eduardo Ondon alias One Ball who is facing robbery charges before the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 56. The arrest of the subject was effected through a warrant issued by Judge Nilo M. Sarsaba.
Investigation said, during the course of operation, the team approached the house occupied by Jubano Gutierrez where Ondon was seen along with three others and appeared to be in pot session, which is incidental to the effect of warrant of arrest against the suspect.
