Shabu Sachets Seized in Buy Bust

Several sachets of suspected shabu were confiscated from alleged drug peddler following a buy bust operation about 7:45 am, Tuesday at Purok 1, Brgy. Baliwagan in San Enrique town.

PSInsp. Romeo M. Vargas, police chief along with members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested Jessie Alvarez Sr., 35, for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Recovered from the subject’s possession were five sachets containing suspected shabu, one improvised tooter and marked money.

A resident of Don Salvador Benedicto was arrested for alleged possession of a hand grenade following a complaint against him for creating alarm about 5AM, Friday.

Brgy. Bago head Joselito Libre turned over to DSB police Junrey Lumanog, 32, of Sitio Agbalasyang after his neighbors complained that the subject was creating alarm and scandal while holding a hand grenade. He is detained and may face charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 10591 or illegal possession of explosive.

A 20-year old security guard was killed when his motorcycle accidentally bumped against an approaching bus about 5:35AM, yesterday along the national highway of Brgy. Tibsoc in San Enrique town.

SPO1 Radnie Lingamen, investigator identified the casualty as Dioly Aboy Jr., a security guard for Palawan Pawnshop and a resident of Brgy. Bantolinao Manuyod, Bais City in Oriental Negros.

Woman Falls for ‘Bigamy’

A 56-year old woman in Calatrava town was arrested by local police authorities for alleged complaint of bigamy about 9AM, Wednesday.

The woman whose name was withheld by NDB is now detained after a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court RTC Branch 60 Judge Dyna Doll Chiongson-Trocio was effected against her.

She will be turned-over to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) facility for failure to post the P24,000 recommended bail.

Meanwhile, another wanted person for charges of rape was nabbed in Sagay City.

Bizman Son Dies in Accidental Firing

A businessman’s son was declared dead after the gun accidentally fired, hitting the latter’s head about 1:30AM, Tuesday at Brgy. 4 in Moises Padilla.

Police said Jesus Garcia, 56, businessman lodged a report claiming that he found his son, Jude Patrick Garcia, 25, inside his room with wound on the head. Investigation said, the younger Garcia was cleaning his .9mm caliber Cherokee pistol with serial number HP10843 when it accidentally fired.
