San Carlos City Police authorities collared a man for charges of illegal possession of firearms when they recovered suspected shabu and paraphernalia in his possession during arrest.

Lydio Lim, 40, of Guihulngan, Negros Oriental was apprehended in a raid led by PSupt. Victorino Romanillos Jr., for illegal possession of firearm along Brgy. II in San Carlos City.

Police authorities and members of the local government unit in Himamaylan City arrested a local resident for alleged illegal fishing on the sea waters of the City.

PSupt. Antonietto Cañete, police chief and his men while conducting seaborne patrol about 4:30PM, Sunday arrested Julius Seden, 29, of Brgy. Su-ay while fishing about 25.5 kilometers away from the shoreline using a fine mesh net.

STL Collector Loses Cash in Heist

A small town lottery (STL) collector in Binalbagan town reportedly lost his cash collection to three unidentified robbers about 6:30PM, Tuesday along Brgy. Bagroy in the said municipality.

Ronier Billones, 37, of Brgy. Payao, Binalbagan told police probers that he was on his way to their office on board a motorcycle when the suspects grabbed his bag containing the cash amounting to P22,000; P4,000 personal money placed inside his wallet and cellular phone.

A resident of Hinoba-an was arrested Monday for rape charges, by elements of San Enrique Police Station.

Eddie Lecera alias Eddie Lacerna Jr., 19, of Brgy. Talacagay in Hinoba-an town was nabbed through a warrant of arrest served by PSInsp. Romeo M. Vargas, police chief of San Enrique.

The warrant was issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 61 Judge Rosario Ester B. Orda-Caise, with criminal case number 2014-6348.

Police authorities in Isabela town are in pursuit of the suspects possibly involved in shooting Brgy. Amin captain, Saturday evening while patrolling his area along with 10 barangay tanods.

Initial investigation said Brgy. Captain Noel Magquilat, 51, of Brgy. Amin, Isabela was conducting mobile patrol in his area of responsibility with 10 of his tanods when unidentified persons shot at them.

Magquilat sustained gunshot wound on the face and was rushed to the nearest hospital facility for medical treatment.
