San Carlos Man Faces 2 Counts of Frustrated Murder; Another Wanted Person Falls

San Carlos police authorities filed two counts of frustrated murder charges against a local for stabbing before the Assistant Prosecutors Office, Wednesday in the City.

Police identified the suspect as Alejandro Ortega, 22, of Don Juan Subd., Brgy. 2 in San Carlos City. He was nabbed for his alleged involvement in a stabbing incident last Monday in Brgy. 1 by responding mobile team.

The case was filed before the City Assistant Prosecutor Vincent P. Gracia. He is detained at San Carlos City Police Station.

2 Stabbed in Separate Cases

Two men were rushed to Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital (TJPH) in Silay City for treatment of stab wounds in a separate incidents in Sagay City and EB Magalona, over the weekend.

Gilbert Cualing, 41, of Purok Asao, Brgy. Divina Colonia, Sagay City was allegedly stabbed by Dominador Salem alias Gomer, also of the same place. The victim sustained multiple wounds in the right portion of his chest. The suspect, on the other hand voluntarily surrendered to Brgy. Divina Colonia captain Johnny Buhayan and later endorsed to Sagay City Police Station.

4 Men in Top 20 Most Wanted Fall for Homicide

Manapla police authorities apprehended four suspects facing homicide charges through the station’s intensified campaign against persons with warrant of arrest about 6:30AM, Monday.

Police records showed that Dante and Mayo Gonzales, Otelio Benares and Alex Franco, all of Hacienda Montinola, Brgy. San Pablo were nabbed through a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 69-Silay City Judge Felipe G. Banzon.

The suspects were considered top 20 most wanted in the municipality.

‘Carnappers’ Fall in Valladolid

Two suspected carnappers were arrested by police authorities in Valladolid town about 2:45PM, yesterday during a follow-up operation.

PCInsp. Luisito Acebuche, police chief disclosed that Jason Gremio alias Maoy, 17, and Jopet Espinase alias Jojo, 18, of Brgy. Alijis, Valladolid were apprehended for allegedly stealing the tricycle of Sunny Samodio, of Brgy. Bagumbayan last August 5, 2014.

Man in Bus Hostage Faces Rob Raps

Police authorities in Hinigaran town are readying criminal raps against the hostage-taker who boarded an air-conditioned bus in the town’s bus terminal, Sunday afternoon and who according to reports is also facing robbery charges in Kabankalan City.

Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) records showed that Richard Villanueva alias Tugol, 26, of Sitio Buri, Brgy. 4 Poblacion in Kabankalan City was previously on board a regular bus going to Kabankalan City and transferred to an air-conditioned vehicle with plate number FWC 896 at Hinigaran bus terminal.
