Ading’s Palapala

On the evening of July 28 my family—occupying up a very long table—had our dinner at Ading’s Palapala.

We had an important function to attend the next day so my children, grand children and immediate relatives had been billeted at L’Fisher.

Sick

If you missed my column in the past 2 weeks it’s because I was sick. Climate change makes me sick. Muggy days made my blood pressure rise.

In fact many die due to climate change. My uncle Bienvenido Deferia, Sr. who’s living in Gonzaga St., Bacolod City is one among them. Because I was sick, I was not able to attend his burial.

Feedbacks E-Mail From Abroad

I received feedbacks of e-mails from abroad concerning my columns. One of them is from my son-in-law from New York. Gary Young is a regular visitor in Bacolod and has many friends over here. He is a regular at L’Fisher and L’Fisher’s employee Bing Vargas has fond memory of him. He has many friends around who used to visit him and his wife once they are in New York.

Lunch with the Streegans

Tuesday last week, we were able to find time to have lunch with businessman and writer Henry Streegan and his wife Elsa.

The we, consists of my wife Norma, my brother Jesus and our grandson Jherson Colonia who is the Vice Governor (or is it Governor? I have no time to find out about social activities of my grandchildren who happened to be numbering 10) at the student government of University of St. La Salle Bacolod.
