DSB Gov’t to Establish Level 3 Water District

The Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB) government will establish a Level 3 water district to ensure that water for Salvadorians and visitors alike are safe to drink.

‘Buy at Your Own Risk’ DSB Mayor Tells Public

The mayor of the mountain town of Don Salvador Benedicto warned those who are interested to buy land in the said town to “buy at your own risk.”

Mayor Marxlen de la Cruz made the warning after some properties within the NNNP, were reported to be advertised for sale on the social media.

“Properties under the Northern Negros Natural Park are not for sale,” de la Cruz pointed out.

The mayor advised them to be truthful when dealing real properties as “only 31 percent of the real properties in the town are titled.”

Kali-kalihan to Feature DSB’s Local Delicacies, Farm Products

Most sought after local delicacies and farm products of Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB) will also be showcased during the Feb. 3 to 9, 2017 Kali-kalihan Harvest Festival of the town.

Mayor Lawrence Marxlen de la Cruz told NDB the 27th Kali-kalihan and the 34th Founding Anniversary of the coolest town in Negros will open today with a grand parade at 8AM.

The grand opening ceremony will follow at 9AM at the gym.

The 27th Kali-kalihan Harvest Festival and 34th Founding Anniversary of Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB) town will open tomorrow, Friday (Feb. 3) with a grand parade at 8AM from the PNP station to the municipal gym.

DENR Orders Cessation of Construction in Cabatangan, Talisay and Brgy. Bunga, DSB

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources has ordered the cessation of construction operations of Hydrotec Renewables Inc. on both of their projects located at Sitio Campuestohan, Brgy. Cabatangan, Talisay City and Brgy. Bunga, Don Salvador Benedicto, as per instruction from DENR-NIR Regional Director Al O. Orolfo and Memorandum from Undersecretary Demetrio L. Ignacio with the attached Memorandum from Biodiversity Management Bureau Director Theresa Mundita S. Lim, stating that the Memorandum of Agreements in favor of the two proposed mini-hydroelectric power plants within the Northern Negros Natural Park cannot be given due course.
