DSB Barangay Kagawad Shot by 2 Riding-in-Tandem

A barangay kagawad of Barangay Kumaliskis in Don Salvador Benedicto town was shot and wounded by two riding-in-tandem at Purok Luhod-Luhod in Barangay Mandalagan here around 7:30 in the evening Friday.

Police Senior Inspector Larry Teovisio, Police Station 3 chief identified the victim as Lorenzo Purisima, 47 who was sitting on a chair while tending his banana in the stall at the area.

The suspects were riding a black Honda XRM who immediately escaped from the crime scene.

Rice Mill Razed in DSB Fire

A rice mill in Sitio Agbalasya, Barangay Bago, Don Salvador Benedicto town was razed down by fire, burning sacks of palay around 5:00 p.m. Monday.

Rice mill owner, Eliseo Rosario said that gallons of diesel caught fire inside the rice mill causing it to blaze.

The owner could no longer count the number of sacks of palay ready for milling owned by some residents of the place.

The damage is yet to be determined pending investigation of Arson Investigator of Bureau of Fire Protection in Don Salvador Benedicto town. *

 

DSB Gov’t to Establish Level 3 Water District

The Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB) government will establish a Level 3 water district to ensure that water for Salvadorians and visitors alike are safe to drink.

‘Buy at Your Own Risk’ DSB Mayor Tells Public

The mayor of the mountain town of Don Salvador Benedicto warned those who are interested to buy land in the said town to “buy at your own risk.”

Mayor Marxlen de la Cruz made the warning after some properties within the NNNP, were reported to be advertised for sale on the social media.

“Properties under the Northern Negros Natural Park are not for sale,” de la Cruz pointed out.

The mayor advised them to be truthful when dealing real properties as “only 31 percent of the real properties in the town are titled.”

Kali-kalihan to Feature DSB’s Local Delicacies, Farm Products

Most sought after local delicacies and farm products of Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB) will also be showcased during the Feb. 3 to 9, 2017 Kali-kalihan Harvest Festival of the town.

Mayor Lawrence Marxlen de la Cruz told NDB the 27th Kali-kalihan and the 34th Founding Anniversary of the coolest town in Negros will open today with a grand parade at 8AM.

The grand opening ceremony will follow at 9AM at the gym.
