Jobless Man Arrested for Drugs

A jobless man, whose parents hail in nearby Binalbagan town, Negros Occ. was arrested in a drug bust around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in Gatuslao Street, Purok Tandang Sora, Barangay 2, Himamaylan City.

Police Chief Inspector Antonio Benitez, Jr., Himamaylan City PNP OIC police chief identified the suspect as Ernesto Gayongala Verde, Jr., 36, resident of the place.

Police was able to apprehend him after he handed one small sachet of suspected shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer policeman in exchange of P500 marked money.

Binalbagan Resident Nabbed in Bacolod Drug Bust

A resident of Binalbagan, Negros Occidental was arrested by Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit led by Police Senior inspector Adrian James Albaytar at corner Hernaez-Lacson Streets in Barangay 39, Bacolod City around 2:30 a.m. yesterday, May 24, 2017.

Albaytar identified the suspect as John Yulo Del Olmo, 37, single, of Purok Darigold, Barangay San Vicente, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.

Binalbagan, Bago Join Boycott Of Coke Products

Binalbagan town and Bago City became the latest local government units in Negros Occidental to answer the province-wide call to boycott Coca-Cola products.

In Executive Order No. 20, Bago City Mayor Nicolas Yulo ordered the prohibition of “the promotion, advertisement and sale of Coca- Cola products in specific areas and events in Bago.”

The City of Victorias was hailed champion in the Rural Category with their performance “Regatones” and the Municipality of Binalbagan topped the Maria Clara Category with their winning piece “Bayluhan” during the 24th Panaad sa Negros Philippine Folkdance Competition.

4 Persons Nabbed in Binalbagan

Four wanted persons, including two women were arrested by Binalbagan PNP in Sitio Tap-ok, Barangay Enclaro in the town around 9:35 a.m. Wednesday.

Police Chief Inspector Anthony Grande, Binalbagan PNP chief identified the four as Salvador Libertino Sentoce, 42, single; Melvin Libertino Estoquia, 27, single; Magdalena Rendon Sentoce, 46, single; and Virgie De la Cruz Pailanan, 67, widow, all residents of the place.
