Kisi-Kisi Festival of Ilog
More than a hundred meters long table of oysters were laid to locals and tourists alike for free during the Talaba Festival on March 21, 2015, Saturday, to mark the first day of the Kisi-Kisi Festival in Ilog.
THE LONG TABLE OF OYSTERS enjoyed by domestic and foreign tourists during Ilog town’s Talaba Festival that opened the town’s Kisi-Kisi Fiesta last Saturday.*
Tourists marvelled at the succulent oysters served by the municipality of Ilog headed by Mayor Genaro Rafael Alvarez, III.
Kisi-Kisi Festival opened on March 21, 2015.
A series of activities led to its highlight yesterday, March 25, with Fluvial Parade at 9:30 am at Ilog River, Maragtas sg Sinulog sa Ilog at 11:00 am, Kisi-Kisi Street Dancing Competition at 1:30 pm at the Poblacion main streets, Fireworks Display and Music Fest at 7:00 pm.
Among the attractions on March 25 were the celebrities who performed at Ilog Covered Court at 8 pm. They were Kaye Abad and Ella Cruz.
Meanwhile, 6th District Rep. Mercedes K. Alvarez is pleased that Talaba Festival is putting Ilog in the map and getting to be known worldwide for its one of a kind offering. She shared that apart from seafoods that attract tourists to Ilog, she and the local government are working on developing another tourist attraction, the Andulauan Bird Sanctuary which is home of migratory birds. Cong. Alvarez also presents I LOVE CHICKS TV on Sky Cable, a series of TV special highlighting the festivals and tourist attractions in the 6th district as part of her support to tourism promotion and development of every local government unit in the 6th district. The TV special is hosted by Charie Ginete-Ilon.*
