‘Issues Dividing Nation’ - Marañon

The current issues besetting the Philippines is “divisive for the country,” Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr., said yesterday.

Marañon’s concern comes on the heels of the political controversies including alleged destabilization plots against President Rodrigo Duterte.

“It is said that 95 percent of the sins of men are caused by his tongue. We should minimize talking. My philosophy is not to say anything bad about other persons. Only see the positive side in people,” the Governor pointed out.

He called the destabilization plots against the President as mere “speculations.”

“Majority of the people are still supporting him,” Marañon said.

He also called the recent Senate moves ousting members of the Liberal Party senators from the majority as “internal affairs.”*(Eugene Y. Adiong)
