San Carlos @ 54 Towards a Cleaner and Greener City

Local talents of San Carlos City were once again showcased last Friday, June 13, 2014.

San Carlos will again be celebrating its Charter Day on July 1.

San Carlos became a city on July 1, 1960 under the leadership of then Mayor Sofronio C. Carmona.

Fifty four years later, the city continued its progressive growth, together with its residents, with the guidance of the city officials.

In line with the 54th Charter Day Celebration, the City Tourism Department under has prepared a series of activities for visitors and locals alike.

Gerard PG Maisog, city tourism officer, along with his subordinates, has lined-up multitude of exciting programs for the anniversary of the city.

Last Friday was a Band Show, which was free for everyone, at the Rizal Square (Public Plaza).

The well-attended event featured local talents.

The third pedicab was raffled, along with 10 consolation prizes.

The following day Saturday, other activities took place, like the Chess Tournament at the city auditorium from 8AM to 6PM and in the evening was the 2nd elimination round of the "Indigay Sa Talento Season 7" at the Rizal Square (City Plaza).

It is a yearly search, supported by the City Tourism Office to give chances to San Carlos’ talented individuals.*(APT)
