PNG, Batang Pinoy Gold Medallists Nabbed With Drugs

A gold medallists boxer in the previous Philippine National Games and Batang Pinoy representing the province of Negros Occidental was nabbed in a drug buy bust, 5:35 in the afternoon Thursday at Purok Crotons in Barangay Old Sagay in Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

Arnold Mahusay Jetajobe, 22, married of Purok 9 in Barangay Poblacion 1 in Sagay City quit his boxing almost two years ago and reportedly a “chicken joy” vendor in the city.

But he admitted to an interview that he was utilize by other drug pusher as courier and to give the illegal drugs to a person he is supposed to give the illegal drugs in Old Sagay.

Jetajobe said he do it for money he received as commission. He was, however caught in entrapment by Sagay City PNP led by Police Senior Inspector Ellendie Rebusquillo.

Recovered from the suspect was one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu in exchange of P300 marked money.

Also recovered thirteen small sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,500; one cellular phone “MyPhone” and cash proceeds of P120.

In nearby town of Calatrava, a senior citizen and another person were arrested in another drug operation in Barangay Ani-e around 12:00 at noon Thursday.

Police Chief Inspector John Joel Batusbatusan, Calatrava PNP chief identified the suspects as Nestor Oresco Dagooc, 61, married, “Alias Tatay” of Barangay Ani-e in the town; and Pedro Nepalar Pesanon, 31, married of Sitio Spur 2 in Barangay Minapasuk also in the town.

The suspects were arrested by joint of Calatrava PNP led by Batusbatusan; NOCPPO-Drug Enforcement Unit led by Senior Inspectors Ray Villasario and Mario Merformento and PDEA-18 led by Intelligence Officer 1 Joanna Fe Bañez.

Dagooc was on the No. 1 list of drug personality in Calatrava town.

Confiscated from him was one heat sealed of suspected shabu; five big heat sealed and three open transparent plastic sachets with shabu residue and other drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are detained at Calatrava PNP lock up cell and charged with violation of RA 9165.

In Hinigaran town, police operatives arrested Kent Estimo Vargas, 25; single “Alias Kentory” of Aguilar Street in Barangay 4 in the town.

He was arrested by Police Senior Inspector Lawrence Gerard Bathan, OIC police chief of Hinigaran around 5:50 in the afternoon Thursday.

The suspect was confiscated with three heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu including the buy bust item of P500 marked money and P150 cash amount believed proceeds of selling shabu.
