SSS in Kabankalan Covers CPSU JO Personnel
The Social Security System (SSS) Kabankalan Branch signed a memorandum of agreement with the Central Philippine State University (CPSU) in its main campus last June 27 in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental for the coverage of its job order (JO) and contractual workers which includes non-teaching personnel, part-time teachers and administrative officers, among others.

The KaltaSSS-Collect Program, which was formerly known as the e-AlkanSSSya Program, offers salary deduction scheme from the monthly contribution payments of the covered JO and contractual workers, who are covered as self-employed members. The program extends SSS membership to JO and contractual personnel of local government units and other state-run agencies who are exempted from the compulsory coverage of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS). About 50 JO and contractual CPSU workers have initially enrolled in the program.
The agreement will help facilitate the delivery of SSS services such as on-site verification of contributions, loans and other SSS benefits and programs; data capture for applicants of the Unified Multi-Purpose Identification System or “UMID” card; and response to SSS queries.
Meanwhile, SSS Kabankalan will also conduct orientations for the school’s extension offices in the municipalities of Candoni, Cauayan, Hinoba-an and Sipalay City.*
