Yellow Team Edges Blue for NPC Inter-Color Bowling Title
The Yellow team ruled over Blue squad by 14 pin falls to secure the championship title in this year’s Negros Press Club (NPC) Inter-Color Bowling Tournament 2017 held at Negros Super Lanes, Bacolod City over the weekend.

Yellow scored a 3-game output of 1,394; while Blue got 1,380.
Team captain Hernan Garciniego of Yellow displayed mastery of duckpin bowling to level the highest individual score of 314 pfs, at the same time, lifting his team for the desired title.
Members of the champion team are Arman Toga, Henceboy Cestina, Buddy Ferrer, Dominique Bañaga, and Mae Marañon.
Second Placer Blue recorded the best team outputs with 479 and 939 including Dolly Yasa’s finest individual performance of 114 & 305, but fell short on their other game.
Other top finishers are Third Placer Black with 1,335 and Fourth Placer Orange with 1,297. Rounding up the participating team’s output: Pink - 1,289; Green - 1,253; Violet - 1,241; and Red - 1,157.
Completing the highest individual scores: pinning by Rommel Galvan of Black with 91 & Dolores Epacta-Miranda of Green with 85, single by Boy Duran of Black with 122 & Dolly Yasa of Blue with 114, and triple by Duran with 314 and Yasa with 305.
Team and individual winners received their respective cash prizes and trophies during the awarding ceremony at Chicken Alley after the games.
NPC president Renato “Boy” Duran thanked the members of the media and the sponsors of the bowling event.
“This is just one of the many sporting events that we have lined up this year for the members of NPC including the basketball and volleyball friendship games with KBP-Negros set for next month,” Duran added. “Let’s continue to develop cooperation, friendly fellowship, sportsmanship, and unity within our club for the betterment of our community.”
Present during the media bowling event are Congressman Greg Gasataya and Councilor Wilson “Jun” Gamboa Jr., who expressed support in the upcoming events of NPC.
This media bowling tournament is supported by the Office of Bacolod City Lone District Representive Gasataya, city Councilor Jun Gamboa, Murcia Mayor Andrew Montelibano, Vallacar Transit Inc., Doc Samaritan Alternative Center, Kokola Biscuits & Wafers, 2Go Travel, and San Miguel Brewery Inc.
The five-man duckpin event is organized by the officers of NPC headed by Mr Boy Duran with Mr Henry James Toga as chairman of the sports committee.*
