Public School Teacher Shot Dead
A public school teacher was shot dead in his house in Barangay Ubos in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental around 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Bayawan City PNP identified the victim as Kim Araula Timosan, 35, married, teacher of Cansig-id Elementary School of Bayawan City and resident of Pink House Subdivision, Barangay Suba in the city.
Police report disclosed that the unidentified suspect is about 5’5” in height, wearing orange-colored hooded jacket and his mouth covered with cloth. The suspect directly went to the jalousie window of the victim’s residence and shot him from outside. The victim, who was with his wife inside the house during the incident, was doing his lesson plan.
The suspect fled with his firearm of unknown caliber.
The victim was brought to Bayawan District Hospital by Emmanuel Jay and Ildefonso Torred, but about 9:20 p.m. on same day, he was pronounced dead by attending physician.
Police is investigating the shooting to determine the motive and possible identification of the suspect.* (Cyrus M. Garde)
