STILL HOPING FOR PRES. DIGONG’S HELP

STILL HOPING FOR PRES. DIGONG’S HELP. Leaders and members of NAMAWU 103, the union composed of Maricalum Mining Corp. workers in Brgy. San Jose in Sipalay City, are hopeful that their 22-year struggle, to get what are due to them up to the time the mining firm shut down, will be attained under the current Rodrigo R. Duterte administration. They told newsmen, they may be divided by certain labor affiliations but in general they are all former MMC workers entitled to what are left at the MMC mining sites. “This is no longer for us or for our children. This is now for our grandchildren’s future,” they said, as they continue to send letters of appeal to Pres. Duterte. *(Arman Toga photos)
