SRA turns over completed farm-to-mill road project
Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) Board Member for Planters Atty. Emilio Bernardino Yulo and OIC Assistant Administrator Mary Antoinette Tampo led the official ribbon cutting during the turn-over ceremony of the completed Farm-to-Mill-Road (FMR) Project at Brgy. Himaya, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, recently.

The contract amount of the concreting project is PHP 12.780M for a one-kilometer stretch which was funded by SRA under the leadership of Hermenegildo Serafica as administrator and taken from the 2016 Government Appropriations Act (GAA) as mandated by the Sugarcane Industry Development Act (SIDA) of 2015. The proponent is the Mill District Development Council.
Yulo, in his endorsement speech said that “We have to protect small planters thru SIDA” whose main proponents were Senators Cynthia Villar, JV Ejercito and Cong. Albee Benitez.
On hand to accept the finished concreted road were: Hinigaran Mayor Jose Nadie Arceo, Vice Mayor Teresita Gabrido, Brgy. Himaya Punong Barangay Enrique Lauriano, Jr. and his council and KALAHI staff.
Mayor Arceo and Lauriano expressed their gratitude to Atty. Yulo for SRA’s concern for Brgy. Himaya and his council and KALAHI staff.
