1 Stabbed dead, 1 hurt in pre-wedding incident
One person was stabbed dead and another wounded when shot by a woman in a pre-wedding incident around 12:30 a.m. Sunday at Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Bato, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Police Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto; Sagay PNP police chief identified the victim as Danilo Pingcas Abayon, 55, married, resident of the place. He sustained two stab wounds in the body inflicted by unidentified suspects.
He was found dead near the house of Gina Gonzaga where a pre-wedding dance was being held.
Due to said incident, his nephew identified as Jessie Andales Perolino, 25, single, of Sitio Bunyag, Barangay Magsaysay, also resident of the place became hysterical knowing his uncle was stabbed dead, armed with a bolo but he was shot by Mary Jane Decena Almirante, 40, “Alias Kabik” married, of Purok Bagong Silay, Barangay Bato, Sagay.
He used a .357 firearm on the suspect who went to the pre-wedding party and to confront anybody. He was shot by the suspect, Mary Jane Almirante and sustained gunshot wound in the stomach.
Jessie Perolino was rushed to the hospital in Alfredo Marañon Sr., District Hospital in Barangay Bato who was later transferred to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Regional Hospital in Bacolod City.
Almirante was detained at Sagay PNP.*
