Bago kicks off 52nd Charter Anniversary celebration
The City of Bago opens today its weeklong activities in celebration of its 52nd Charter Anniversary.
A thanksgiving mass was offered this morning at the St. John the Baptist Church concelebrated by all the parish priests of Bago.
The Brookside Garden Academy will celebrate their foundation day today at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center.
The 3rd Lechon Festival cosponsored by the City Social Services and Development Office and the Office for Veterinary Services will take place at 9:30 am at the Tourism Office grounds. The guests include AGAP Partylist Congressman Rico Geron and Architect Edwin Chen and Dr. Angelito Bagui of the Pork Federation of the Philippines.
The Persons with Disability of Bago will have its first Mayor Nicholas M. Yulo Sitting Volleyball competition at the St. John the Baptist Multi- Purpose Center.
At 3 o’clock in the afternoon, the Agro- Industrial, Cultural, and Educational Fair 2018 will open at the Bantayan Park with Department of Agriculture RO6 Director Engr. Remelyn Recoter as the guest of honor and speaker. Along with this, the One Barangay One Product search will be launched.
The first Bailes del Fuego and Patik Baylan competition will took place today at 7:30 in the evening at Bantayan Park.
Celebrity artist Vhong Navarro and Yam Concepcion will entertain the crowd tonight at Bantayan Park, free admission. Live bands will also play at Bantayan Park.
A grand fireworks display will cap the opening night of the 52nd Charter Anniversary of Bago.
Mayor Nicholas Yulo in a statement is inviting everyone to visit Bago today until the highlights which is on February 19.*
