LCC students win NOLITC design tilt
A group of students from La Consolacion College (LCC)-Bacolod bagged P100,000.00, trophy and certificate after winning the NEGROS FIRST Institute of Technology Global Campus Conceptual Design Competition which was launched last October by the provincial government.

Senior students Nazary Chavez, Orly Bayona and Kathryn Nicole Eufre bested 30 other groups from their school and Southland College after making it through the elimination phase.
Fellow LCC students Malian Delos Reyes, Justin Anne Javier and Angelica Joy Pelagion placed second and received P25,000; Aura Danielle Añalucas and Veronica Dubouzet ranked third and recieved P15,000 while two consolation prizes of P5,000 were given to Mark Avanceña, Kimrad Barlig, Ruel Dela Cruz (4th place); and Jane Perez, Dymebelle Recla and Reyna Leen Tiano (5th place) for making it to the top 5.
Gov. Alfredo Marañon, Jr. lauded the participants for their creativity and talent and added that the competition was an opportunity for the future architects to showcase their skills and to give them a big break.
Dr. Ma. Cristina Orbecido, NOLITC Administrator, also added that the competition aimed to gather creative ideas and showcase the talents of future architects in coming up with an architectural concept for a new global campus in the province.
The new campus of NOLITC will be called NEGROS FIRST Global Institute of Technology and will be built at the newly-acquired property of the provincial government in Talisay City.*(Capitol News)
