3 Killed, 1 hurt in road mishaps in Negros Occ.

Three persons were killed, another injured in three separate road mishaps involving motorcycles in Silay, La Carlota and Himamaylan cities on Sunday and at dawn Monday.

Police authorities identified the victim in Manapla as one “Alyas John-John”, of legal age, with no known address; Romeo Aguillon Bajala, Jr., 29, married, construction worker, of Sitio Binigsian, Barangay Cubay, La Carlota City; and Francis Jabagat De Asis, 28, single, of Sitio Mapait, Barangay Su-ay, Himamaylan.

Injured was identified as Angelo Postrano Baleriano, 15, of Sitio Maninihon, Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay. His back-rider John-John and Baleriano were riding on Rusi motorcycle going south and swerved from east to west when they collided with an Isuzu-MUX running opposite direction at 1:20 a.m. Sunday along Rizal Highway fronting Manapla Funeral Homes in Barangay 5, Silay City.

The Isuzu MUX Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) was driven by Norman Buenaflor Gonzales, 56, married, of Sea View Subdivision, Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay.

John-John was rushed to Teresita Jalandoni Memorial Provincial Hospital with Baleriano but was declared dead on arrival.

In La Carlota City, the victim was identified as Romeo Aguillon Bajala, Jr.. While driving his Barako 175 motorcycle from north to south he bumped the rear of Fuso Fighter truck that made a left turn from east to west around 10:00 p.m. Sunday along barangay road of Barangay RSB, Carlota.

The victim fell to the cemented road and sustained head and body injuries and was rushed to Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital in the city but was declared dead on arrival.

The Fuso truck was driven by Agustin Flores Samsona, 43, married, of Barangay Cadre, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental. He is now detained.

In Himamaylan, De Asis was driving his Honda motorcycle from east to west when he bumped a Kamachile tree and steel post along Sitio Mapait, Barangay Su-ay around 12:20 a.m. Monday.

He sustained head injuries and was rushed to Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City but was declared dead on arrival.*
