Fire razes 8 houses in Bago, 3 hurt
Eight houses were gutted, seven totally damaged and one partially damaged, while three persons were injured around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday in Purok Kapayas, Torres Street, Barangay Poblacion, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Bureau of Fire Protection in Bago City disclosed that the fire originated from the house of Regie Guiza from unknown cause as the incident is being investigated by authorities.
The fire was declared out two hours later, it was reported.
Burned totally were the houses of Guiza, a certain Gamay Jocson, Eyo Jocson, Vivian Pancho, Jobert Betita, Adelfa Betita, Noel Serva and Remegio Genesera, according to Village Chief Sergio Piansay.
Partially damaged was the house of Juanito Tasic.
Guiza and Pancho were also injured, including an unnamed fireman after he hit a pointed GI sheet.
The damage was estimated at P300, 000, while investigation is still going on.*
