Police operatives arrested a drug suspect in a buy bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Manjuyod town around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
Manjuyod police led by Police Senior Inspector Vann Joel Tingson together with Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Agent Amory Introleso arrested Cliff Askin Yap, “Alias Dukin”, 30, single, resident of Barangay San Jose, Manjuyod.
The suspect was confiscated with one small heat sealed ‘shabu’ in exchange for P600 marked money.
One person was stabbed dead after using the slippers of another person in Sitio Candalaga, Barangay Banga, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police identified the victim as Nicoy Mahinay Dantes, 30, married, while the suspect was Ariel Alvirico Bayawa, 30; single, all residents of the place
Police investigation disclosed that the victim was having a drinking session at the place. Later a heated argument ensued when the victim wore the slippers of Rane Dantes.

One person was stabbed dead and another wounded when shot by a woman in a pre-wedding incident around 12:30 a.m. Sunday at Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Bato, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
