A sound mental health is important as “there is no health without mental health”, according to a mental health care expert.
Psychologist Joeanne Marie Jomalesa of the Bacolod City Mental Health Care Center (BCMHCC) - City Health Office (CHO) emphasized, “We should treat mental health equal to physical health because we can’t fully say we are healthy if we are not mentally healthy.”
“Mental health includes emotional, psychological and social well-being that affects how we think, feel and act,” Jomalesa said.
