A man was shot dead by unidentified persons while on his way home around 6:45 a.m. Sunday in Barangay Tandayag, Amlan town, Negros Oriental.
Police identified the victim as Edito Barillo, Jr., of legal age, resident of the place.
He sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body from unknown caliber of firearm and was rushed to the nearest hospital, but was declared dead on arrival by attending physician.
Amlan police is still conducting investigation of the case for possible identity of the suspect and his motive.*(CMG)
Kabankalan City PNP arrested a woman who has a warrant for illegal drugs at Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occ. Sunday.
Police Superintendent Rhea Santos, Kabankalan City PNP OIC police chief identified the suspect as Valerie Bugalon Abadiano, 29, single, Filipino, jobless, resident of Purok Paraiso, Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan.
She was arrested by police authorities by virtue of warrant of arrest in Criminal Case No. 2017-7755 for violation of Art. II Sec. 11 of R.A. 9165.
An unidentified suspect shot dead a native of Misamis Occidental at Sitio Batang, Barangay Talaban, Himamaylan City around 2:00 a.m. Sunday, police report disclosed.
Police Chief Inspector Antonio Benitez, Jr., Himamaylan PNP OIC chief identified the victim as Jessie Despi Flores, 30, married, of Tuyabang Bajo, Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental.
