Despite the low turnout of participants in Bacolod City, the organizers were able to gather one hundred forty nine chess players during the two-division 2017 Barangay Mansilingan Annual Fiesta Team Chess Tournament at A.L. Jayme Elementary School on Sunday morning.

Thirty four teams or sixty eight chessers joined the Open division, while twenty seven or eighty one woodpushers played in the 14 & Under group.

Schools should craft their own social media policies to properly guide their respective stakeholders when problems occur, speakers told 700 participants at the Web Impact Redefining Education Policy (wirEd 2.) forum in Bacolod.

Lawyer Joseph Noel Estrada, managing partner of Estrada and Aquino Law Firm (EA Law) said there is a need “to educate our schools, administrators and teachers on how to develop policies in addressing issues on cyberspace and social media.”

The Revolutionary Government (RevGov) being eyed by President Rodrigo R. Duterte got a strong boost in Western Visayas when Negros-based officials of the Rebolusyonaryong Alyansang Makabansa (RAM) - Guardians Brotherhood Federal Inc. (GBFI) went public Friday to express their full support.

In fact, the group will gather thousands of its members at the Bacolod Pavillion in Bacolod City to join the simultaneous nationwide Revolutionary Federal Government campaign launching this Friday, November 30.
