The Organic Solutions and Sweet Crystals Sugar won over its separate foes in the ongoing 2nd Conference Fil-Sino Asian Countertrade Inc. Inter-Color Basketball Tournament Monday at Po Hang Gym of Bacolod Tay Tung High School.

Organic Solutions defeated Basecom 69-63 and Sweet Crystals Sugar prevailed over JSY Countertrade, 78-72.

Organic Solutions erected to 60-42 from a 36-32 halftime lead behind the trio of Julius Teruel, Ronald Despi and Lito Dumdum who combined for 18 points.

The “Oplan Greyhound Operation/Oplan Linis Piitan conducted at the facility of Cadiz City District Jail of Bureau of Jail Management & Penology (BJMP) Wednesday morning bared negative results, according to Jail Senior Inspector Ian Karl Niaga, the BJMP jail warden.


Cadiz City PNP joined the Oplan Greyhound/Oplan Linis Piitan conducted nationwide last October 11, 2017. The Oplan was supervised by PInsp. Alfred M. Garcia, Operation Officer under the direct supervision of PCInsp. Rocky Q. Desear, Acting Chief of Police. The operation was also witnessed by a representative from the media, Cyrus M. Garde of NDB/Happy Radio, DYAG, Barangay Kagawad John Nopueto and Reynaldo Dela Cruz of Brgy. Tinampaan. This activity was conducted by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology headed by JSInsp. A dead body was found inside the Abuanan Public Cemetery in Bago City around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

The NOPPSC 4th Maneuver Platoon in Barangay Dulao, Bago City informed the police through a text message.

Bago City PNP identified the victim as Aladin Tizon Fernandez, 51, single, of Purok Mainuswagon, Barangay Atipuluan, Bago City.

The victim was found at the top of a tomb on his back naked. He was believed to have mental disorder as claimed by his brother whose name was not disclosed, who was also at the scene when police arrived.

A museum official in Negros Occidental encouraged the public to take time in visiting various museums as they play crucial roles in preserving the Filipino culture.

“There are so many museums in Bacolod City and Negros so take advantage of them as we celebrate the Museums and Galleries Month,” said Negros Museum Executive Director Tanya Lopez over the Philippine Information Agency’s (PIA) radio program.

Lopez emphasized that museums can preserve culture.

Four persons were killed and two others were injured when two families clashed at Quezon Street in Barangay 1 Poblacion, in Barangay 4 in Moises Padilla town, which started Tuesday night and ended yesterday morning.

Police Chief Inspector Allan Reloj, Moises Padilla PNP chief, identified the victims as Kerwin Labiga Royo, 22; Kagawad Ernesto “Estoy” Royo, 56, of Barangay 1, uncle of Kerwin; James Labiga, 28, “Alias Saycan” of Barangay 1 and 5-year-old Michael John Mirano of Barangay 4.
