The Ceres Negros FC is looking forward to avenge their 4-0 loss to FC Istiklol of Tajikistan late Tuesday at the Hisor Central Stadium for the first leg of the Inter-Zone Semi-finals of the AFC Cup.

The Philippine club absorbed two goals in each half to give the Central Asia Zone champions the advantage ahead of the next leg.

Playing before the 13,800 home fans, Istiklol got their first goal on a penalty after Kawase Kota was called for a foul at the right stripe of the box as defender Akhtam Nazarov hitting the back of the net in the 23rd minute.

The College of Accountancy, Business Education, and Computer Studies (CABECS) successfully hosted the “Greenomy: An Economy for Sustainability” Seminar on August 22, 2017 at the Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSA-B) Audio Visual Room (AVR). Marketing Management and entrepreneurship students were in full force in attending the seminar.

Two alleged drug suspects were arrested in separate drug operations by police operatives in Talisay City and Valladolid town at dawn yesterday.

The suspects were identified as Noel Albolario Aguilar, 38, married, of Sitio Bat-os, Barangay Zone 11, Talisay City and Rudy Geograpia Ortega, Jr., 30, single, “Alias Molmol,” of Purok Pagi, Barangay Central Tabao, Valladolid town, Negros Occidental.

Aguilar was arrested by Talisay City PNP around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at Purok Everlasting, Brgy. Zone 11, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

An unidentified body was found in a sugarcane field in Hacienda Montinola, Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City, Negros Occidental around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police Superintendent Adonis Rosales, Talisay City PNP chief together with Deputy Police Chief, Senior Inspector Geruld Huerva along with the Alert Team responded to the area to conduct investigation of the case.

A laborer was electrocuted in a schoolbuilding inside Luis Hervias High School in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City at 3:45 p.m. Monday.

Chief Inspector Richie Gohee, Police Station 4 head identified the victim as Jhon Kenneth Abogadel Española, 23, single, of Purok Herbabuena, Barangay Villamonte.

The victim’s father, Delfin Orcajada Española, 52, married, of Purok Herbabuena, Barangay Villamonte reported to police authorities.

Four suspects were arrested in a drug buy bust operation in Purok Sunrise 2, Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City Tuesday evening.

Police Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel, Police Station 6 head identified the suspect as Marvin Diancin, 39, of Purok Rio Vista, target of the operation; Roderick Millare, 37, of Purok Sunrise 2; Eduardo Alleri, 40, of Barangay 41 and Olga Javier, 51, of Purok Sunrise 2, all of Barangay Taculing.

Six small sachets and seven elongated sachets of suspected shabu were confiscated from them worth more or less P6, 000 to P7, 000.

A 16-year-old girl committed suicide in Purok Kalanga-an, Barangay Paticui, Hinigaran town, Negros Occ. around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.

The victim, identified as Jenelyn Samulde Malino, Grade 11 and resident of the place, committed suicide after she was scolded by her father for being stubborn and lying a lot of times.
