Kami Mga Hubin (KMH) sat on top of the leaderboard, at the same time, swept the highest scores in the 12th BCBC Open Trios Bowling Tournament 2017 elimination round at Negros Super Lanes in Bacolod City.

In a historic move to further strengthen the Philippine Sugar Industry, the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) held the Sugar Industry Summit July 25 to 26, 2017 at Nature’s Village Resort, Talisay City, Negros Occidental. Carrying the theme “The Strategic Role of Mill District Development Councils (MDDcs) in Sugar Industry Development,” the summit will specifically engage a key industry partner, the MDDCs. The Summit seeks to build consensus on how the MDDCs could perform their strategic role in the implementation of projects under the R.A. No. 10659 of the “Sugar Industry Development Act of 2015” (SIDA).

On July 29, 1988 Alter Trade Corporation came into existence right at the height of the crisis of the sugar industry in Negros and in the entire country. This is precisely the reason why ATC was born – to assist and help alleviate the lives of the Negros poor especially the sugar workers the worst hit by the crisis. It is with gratitude and honour and, at the same time fulfilment that ATC has been an instrument in pulling out the sugar workers from the quagmire of survival and poverty.

Aimed to further develop grassroots football in Negros Occidental, the 2017 Dynamic Football League 2nd Conference is set to kick off July 29 at the Sta. Maria Football Field in Talisay City. The event will feature U7 mix, U10 mix, U13 boys, U16 boys and U17 girls.

Eight teams will be competing for the U7 mix that includes the St. Scholastica’s Academy, Himamylan, Pontevedra A, B and C, Montevista Elementary School, Villa Angela and Don Bosco Technical Institute.
