The College of Entrepreneurship under Department Chair Leonora A. de la Cruz, MBA, successfully hosted Jennifer S. Sanchez, Branch Manager of St. Rafael Development Corporation (SRDC), for the seminar “Starting Your Own Company Through SRDC” on July 3, 2017 at the Roof Deck, Riverside College Inc., Dr. Pablo O. Torre St., Bacolod City.

Three unidentified suspects shot dead a resident of Purok Silhig, Barangay Batinguel, Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Superintendent Jovito Atanacio, Dumaguete City PNP City Director identified the victim as Eduardo Ama-at Vilos, 40, “Alias Batutin”, single, jobless, resident of the place.

Three unidentified suspects riding on motorcycle immediately left the area after shooting the victim inside his house.

Police investigation disclosed that the suspects went to the house of the victim calling his name.

A 7-year-old boy from Barangay Prosperidad, San Carlos City was drowned and his body washed out in the river at Barangay Abuanan, Bago City around 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Senior Inspector Hercules Trique, Deputy Police Chief of Bago City PNP disclosed that the boy was carried by water current from Barangay Prosperidad and was discovered by passersby in the riverbank of Barangay Abuanan.

He is identified as Bernard Canillo, grade 1 pupil. He was reportedly trying to cross the river in a makeshift bridge made of bamboo when he accidentally slipped and fell down the river.

The Negros Occidental Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) has approved a P25 million budget to fund Task Force Buglas projects and activities from July to December 2017, Basic Citizens Emergency Responders Training, and renovations needed for the Provincial Evacuation Center.

A 48-year old American national was found dead by his girlfriend inside the comfort room of his rented house at Reduble Residence at Zone 3, Calong-Calong, Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police Senior Inspector Wilfredo Benoman, Bacolod Police Station 8 chief, identified the victim as Ronald Robert Gaines, single.

A fire razed about 25 stalls made of light materials located an the site of a former cockpit at the Cadiz City Public Market in Barangay Zone 3 past 11 p.m. Tuesday.

The estimated damage reached to about P1.5 million.

Arson investigators of Cadiz Bureau of Fire Protection said, the fire started due to an unattended gas stove at the eatery of Alfredo Ugaban.

It immediately gutted neighboring stalls, some of which have stored oil inside.
