‘Love Triangle’ Costs Life of Ex Live-in Partners

A 33-year-old man was stabbed dead by the present live-in partner of his former live-in partner past 4:00 a.m. yesterday, August 30, 2017 at Luzuriaga Street, Bacolod City.

Police Senior Inspector Leo Gestopa, Police Station 1 chief identified the victim as Elmer Margallo Navares, 33, of Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City. He sustained stab wounds in the different parts of the body and was rushed to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Police identified the suspect as a certain “Kapid,” reportedly a native of Manapla town who escaped after the stabbing.

Investigation disclosed that the three met in the place and a heated argument ensued which resulted to stabbing.

It was reported that the woman, a minor Joan Alisbo Tingson, 17, was with her present live-in partner, a certain “Kapid” when they met at Luzuriaga Street.

The victim may have been jealous towards the suspect and confronted his former live-in partner.

Police Station 1 operatives are conducting manhunt operation on the suspect while holding the suspect’s live-in partner for investigation.*
