1 Killed in Victorias Stabbing Duel

A stabbing duel between protagonists resulted in the death of one in Relocation Site, Barangay 21, Victorias City around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Superintendent Herman Garbosa, Victorias City PNP chief identified the victim as Norberto Kening “Alyas Wangyu”, 37, single, resident of the place.

He sustained multiple stab wounds in the body and was rushed to Ikaayong Lawas Foundation Incorporated but was declared dead on arrival.

The suspect was identified as Roberto Castello Aban, 59, married, also of the place.

He also sustained stab wounds in the body and was brought to the same hospital, but later referred to Teresita Jalandoni Memorial Provincial Hospital for further treatment.

Police investigation disclosed that the suspect was watching a movie outside the house of Nemea Balayo Tolosa at the Relocation Site when the victim arrived and asked where was his knife, according to witness John Aguisa Escora.

The victim was able to locate his knife and sat beside the suspect and said, “Dugay niya na ko ni gusto tumbahon (He’s has long been planning to kill me).”

The victim then stabbed the table they were holding that proceeded to the grappling between them.

Aban was stabbed but managed to flee home and returned with his own knife and duelled with the victim.

Police is investigating the crime and to determine the motive.*
