Frustration Leads Man to Suicide
A 67-year-old jobless man suffering from illness committed suicide around 3:00 p.m. Sunday in his residence in Purok Masinadyahon, Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the victim as Eduardo Villaruz, 67, single.
A witness, Reynaldo Villas Villaruz, 49, married, said he heard a gunshot and checked inside their house and saw the victim lying on his bed, holding a .38 caliber firearm with blood oozing from his head.
He then called for assistance and brought the victim to Bago City Hospital and was later transferred to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
As of press time, there is no follow up of his medical bulletin at the hospital.
Reynaldo told police authorities that he became frustrated because of his health issues and always talked about ending his life.
Police recovered from the scene one caliber .38 firearm with five live bullets.
The case is still being investigated by Bago City PNP.*
