4th District-Negros Occ. Holds COPS 1st Strategic Contingency Planning
The Chiefs of Police of Fourth District of Negros Occidental held their First Strategic Contingency Planning Meeting headed by PNP District Supervisor P/Supt. Cresenciano B. Cordero Jr., Chief of Police of La Carlota City Police Station, held at the Conference Hall of the La Carlota City Police Headquarters yesterday, August 3, 2017.

According to P/Supt. Cordero, 4th District Supervisor of all Chiefs of Police, this is a Police Security Plan Preparation to prevent any act of lawless elements, rebels, terrorists in making any untoward incidents of attacks, harassment, harm to the PNP personnel, local city and barangay officials, employees,vital installations such as telecommunications, schools, churches, commercial establishments to put to shame and sabotage the peace and order situation of the locality.
They will also discuss all the possibilities of what will happen to all Police Stations of the 4th Districts in the light of the recent incidents in other places. This will include the course of action to counter and re-counter bad elements and engage the full support of the Local Government Units, Armed Forces of the Philippines and other adjacent Police Stations “in giving us the clear bird’s eye view of all Chiefs of Police’ proper coordination, position, alertness and readiness of PNP personnel in responding to the real situation.”
According to Cordero, the police are also alerted on the possible attack of terrorist groups, rebels, lawless elements and criminals’ action plan which also includes kidnapping, bombing, fire, or Lone Wolf operations (suicide attacks), among others.
He said regarding the reported presence of armed group in Barangay Balabag and Barangay La Granja, all information are subject for verification, validation, and counter check with the barangay officials, tanods, BIN, BPATS and other force multipliers in affected areas of concern.
Meanwhile, P/Supt. Cordero Jr. is in charge of the security preparation on the forthcoming 1st Mt. Kanla-on Natural Park Festival to be held in Sitio Guintubdan, Barangay Ara-al, La Carlota City on August 4 to 12, 2017. Four (4) teams will be deployed in all surrounding areas of Mt. Kanla-on Natural Park with La Carlota City PNP personnel, PNP Regional Public Safety Battalion, Philippine Army, barangay officials, force multipliers, Tanods, BIN, BPATS and the people of La Carlota City with their full support and cooperation in giving A-1 information to the police if there is any presence of rebels, terrorists or criminals in the areas “to secure, serve and protect our people including local and foreign tourists, friends and visitors who love and enjoy the beauty of our nature.”
