Pa Kills Son in Ayungon

A father killed his son around 8:20 p.m. last July 28, 2017 in Sitio Lodgoron, Barangay Anibong, Ayungon, Negros Oriental, police belated report disclosed.

The victim was identified as Ariel Salimbagat Silvano, 30, fisherman, resident of the place.

He sustained injuries on his face and fell unconscious and was rushed to Bindoy District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Police identified the suspect, his father, also a fisherman, as Macario Silvano y Apostol, 60, married, also of the place.

Ayungon Municipal Police Station led by SPO4 Roel Crisanto Abrigana proceeded to the area and conducted investigation that revealed the suspect was drunk and was acting unruly.

The suspect said that they were inside their house with his wife, another son and grandsons when the victim arrived drunk.

A heated argument ensued and the victim attacked his father with the use of a cross-cut saw hitting him in the stomach.

In retaliation, suspect also grasped a pan from the kitchen and struck the victim in the head and face rendering the victim unconcscious.

The suspect surrendered to Barangay Anibong Chairman Eddie Silvano and is charged with parricide case in Court.*
