Traffic Advisory for Aug. 7 to 21 Araneta-Magsaysay Closure
Starting August 7 until the 21st, from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m., traffic rerouting will be implemented at the Magsaysay-Araneta area in Bacolod, to give way to the construction of the flyover project there.
Supt. Luisito Acebuche, Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) chief, said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) requested for the total closure of Araneta Street in the project area to enable the safe installation of steel beams for the flyover.
Acebuche said the road closure along Araneta will start from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next day.
All vehicles coming from Singcang-Airport will pass through UNO-R Extension and pass by Barangay 35.
Vehicles from Sum-ag and Punta Taytay can pass through Cegasco in Brgy. Pahanocoy or Purok Hollow Blocks in Singcang since they will close the road starting from the entrance of Sugarland Hotel, Acebuche said.
Those from Magsaysay Avenue in Taculing will pass through Goldenfield Commercial Complex, he said.
Vehicles coming from Lacson Street should turn right to Magsaysay Avenue and pass by Goldenfield, while all vehicles coming from Alijis should turn right to Pau de Arco.
Vehicles coming from the downtown area have the option to pass through Lizares Street or Roxas Avenue.*
