Mayor Puentevella said that this is the first time that such a festival will be held outside Korea.
Puentevella said, "The activity will give a big boost to our tourism efforts as I am not satisfied with our tourism growth which is bordering only about 29 percent. This affair will attract thousands of Koreans from their country as well as very attractive to Koreans in our city as well as all over our country."
He also announced that effective July 23, 2014, Atty. Bong Dilag has been appointed as one of his official spokesmen. That Dilag’s appointment will augment his present staff as he has already tapped the services of his active spouse, Mrs. Josefa "Patching" and some of his sons to help in this endeavor.
